Leeds is on of the major cities in the UK and has the advantage of a compact and visitor-friendly city centre. Most of the main attractions, bars and restaurants are within easy reach of each other, making free time outside of a conference or business event stress free.

Walking.

Once you arrive into Leeds City Centre, whether it is into the Train Station or Bus Station then most of the city’s hotels and many of the conference venues are within a 15 minute walk.

Leeds is a compact city with many of the hotels and venues based in the city centre, which means you can easily walk from the hotel to the conference venue.

Whilst in the city, look out for our Leeds Welcome People who are there especially for visitors to give out directions, advice as well as offering a smiling face.

Public transport.

Leeds has a compact city centre, so it is easy to enjoy all the city has to offer on foot. Alternatively there is a Leeds CityBus for £1 which stops at various locations within the city.

Regular bus and train services run to venues and attractions outside the city centre. Day tickets are available from Leeds Bus Station or Leeds Train Station. You can plan your journey here.

Taxis and cabs.

There are many reliable taxi services in Leeds with a range of payment options from advance payment to cash and card payments.

Hackney Carriage (taxis) are available in Leeds, and are only available only from an official taxi rank.There is a taxi rank outside Leeds Train Station which can be used 24 hours a day. You will need to pay in cash and the drivers can write receipts for the journey.

Uber operates in Leeds where taxis can be booked via the Uber app.

For stress-free travel into the centre of Leeds, catch one of our Park & Ride services. Elland Road and Temple Green services operate from Monday to Friday and Stourton from Monday to Saturday, with a journey time of just 10-15 minutes to the centre of Leeds.
