Success for Well Met at CN Academic Venue Awards

Well Met, the conferencing office of Leeds Beckett University, won two awards at the Conference News Academic Venue Awards 2018, held recently (27 November) at The Great Hall, University of Birmingham.

The awards recognise excellence in the sometimes-overlooked academic sector of the events industry. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, and judges praised both the overall strength and evolution of the sector.

Cloth Hall Court – Well Met’s dedicated conferencing facility – came away with the award for Best in-house technology, and Well Met won the award for Best non-residential venue of the year.

Clare Vidler, Conference Manager, Well Met, said: “It’s great to receive recognition for our venues and technology and is testament to the hard work and commitment of the team. We’re particularly delighted that Cloth Hall Court has been recognised and this bookmarks what has been a fantastic first year for this beautifully refurbished, conference facility.”
