Well Met proud to be part of Leeds Business Week

Well Met, the conference office for Leeds Beckett University, is proud to be hosting several key events as part of Leeds Business Week (Monday 8 October – 12 October). The event (now in its sixth year) created by premier business networking organisation, The Yorkshire Mafia, features over 100 masterclasses, seminars and tutorials across 30 venues citywide and has become an important part of the Leeds business calendar.

The Customer Conference and the Festival of Business will take place at Cloth Hall Court in Leeds – welcoming budding entrepreneurs, digital marketeers, and future business leaders through its doors on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th October.

Clare Vidler Conference Manager at Well Met, said: “We are delighted to be part of Leeds Business Week as it is such a significant event for the city and it’s a great opportunity for us to showcase our city centre conference venue to a whole new audience.”

The Customer Conference features over 30 free seminars and 30 stand exhibitions with the ambition to equip the 2,000 delegates with the tools they need to take their individual businesses to the next level. In Idea Time, Dr Jo North will share innovation tools and techniques to show delegates how to think more creatively and move their business forward. Colin Tweedie’s engaging and much acclaimed ‘become a great networker in just one hour’, will show even the most anxious delegate the top tips required to become an expert. Whilst, Phil Lee will give you his five key points that all leaders should do naturally along with the gift of 21 thoughtful actions that will genuinely raise your leadership game for life and for business.

The Festival of Business is a day dedicated to everything you need to know about running a business successfully – you can expect staff training, HR support, Financial advice, GDPR and legal advice as well as much, much more. Tom Cheesewright’s Building Athletic Organisations workshop will give insight on how to stay innovative and agile and beat the competition. Business Coach, Melissa Makan, will profile how different businesses can work together in Discover Your Work Personality. The seminar How a solicitor saved my life, led by Richard Coulthard of Oakwood Solicitors will explore key legal issues facing SMEs and top tips of how to avoid costly mistakes.

Jessica Coates, Marketing & Events Manager at The Yorkshire Mafia, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming our attendees to Cloth Hall Court as part of Leeds Business Week. The versatility of space and spec make it a perfect for the two biggest events over the course of Leeds Business Week.”

Based in the city centre and just two minutes’ walk from Leeds Train Station, the Grade II listed building underwent a £4.5 million refurbishment that was completed in July last year.

With an emphasis on dynamic, versatile spaces and a tailored delegate experience, each of Cloth Hall Court’s three floors provide the perfect environment to collaborate, engage, relax and inspire. This well-connected venue is the ideal place to bring delegates together.
