Well Met welcomes British Water’s Data: Now & Beyond conference to Cloth Hall Court, Leeds

Well Met, the conferencing office of Leeds Beckett University, welcomes British Water to Cloth Hall Court for the first time (Wednesday, 9 October) for its national Data: Now & Beyond conference, that will provide the water industry with valuable insights into how the sector can manage data more effectively and, ultimately, provide a better service to customers.

Over 100 delegates are expected to attend the conference that includes workshops and presentations, with speakers from water companies, the supply chain and beyond.

From saving water and preventing leaks to protecting the environment and reducing customer disruption, data is used in every aspect of the water industry’s day-to-day operations, as well as in forward planning, customer service and site management.

Dr Mar Batista, Technical Manager, British Water said: “This event is an opportunity to collaborate and, with our industry peers, learn the best ways of working with data, how to get the most from it and how it can help companies drive efficiencies and improve service for customers.”

Data: Now & Beyond will also see speakers from outside the water sector, including Ofgem, Network Rail and Electricity North West, who will provide guidance on the fast-changing landscape of data handling and their learnings with the water industry.

Clare Vidler, Well Met conference manager, said “We are looking forward to welcoming British Water to Cloth Hall Court for the first time on Wednesday, 9 October. The convenient city centre location makes it an ideal venue for delegates from across the water industry.”
