Well Met’s newest venue receives £500k enquiries in advance of opening

With the doors set to open in summer 2017, Cloth Hall Court is preparing to welcome a number of conferences and meetings having already received around £500k worth of venue enquiries from eager event planners.

The historic venue is preparing to re-open as a dynamic conferencing space for Well Met Conferencing. Its convenient location, being just a short walk from Leeds railway station, will provide incredibly convenient access for delegates and organisers. The brand new interior is perfect for stimulating creativity and with its modern design it’s a refreshing addition to the conferencing sector in Leeds. The brand new facility has four floors of conference space tailored specifically to corporate needs, and is ideal for up to 300 delegates.

The flexible building will be inclusive of all conference sizes, with a range of seminar rooms, boardrooms and main rooms. Cloth Court Hall will also include superfast Wi-Fi, VIP parking and state-of-the-art high resolution data projection along with continued excellent customer service; the University was accredited with the Customer Service Excellence accolade in 2013. These facilities will ensure that conferences and meetings provide everything an organiser requires to engage and inspire delegates. In order to keep the building’s cloth selling heritage alive, the rooms are creatively named after a variety of materials. From the ‘Tweed Suite’ to ‘Denim Room’, the creativity of the building is shown in the smallest of details.

The outstanding building will also be shared with the Institute of Directors, and it will be proudly used as their flagship venue. The versatile venue has partnerships already in motion with local hotels; delegates will have access to close-by hotels at preferential rates and therefore be ready to attend early morning seminars and talks.

Natalie Sykes, regional director of the Institute of Directors in Yorkshire and the North East, said:

“The role of our organisation is to support businesses and the people who run them to be the best that they can be. This fantastic new facility will be warmly welcomed by our regional and national members. In partnership with Leeds Business School, we will be delivering our world-class director development courses from this state of the art learning environment. At a time when we are transforming the way that the IoD interacts with its members, our new regional home provides first class business facilities in a location right in the heart of the dynamic city of Leeds, just footsteps from Leeds station.”

Clare Vidler, Conference Manager at Well Met, commented:

“Having already received half a million pounds worth of conferencing enquiries for Cloth Hall Court is incredible. The demand for flexible, convenient and unique spaces is clearly increasing and we’re confident that our proposition is providing something distinctly different for the sector. With inspiring and the creative spaces on offer, along with the latest in digital technology installed throughout, it is definitely something worth getting excited about.”
