Brighouse Library and Smith Art Gallery is an 18th century house set in the beautiful grounds of Rydings Park. It was opened in 1898 as a public library and the art gallery was opened by Queen Victoria's daughter, Princess Louise, in 1907 following extensive but sympathetic additions by William Smith.
