The Cross Keys

The James Watt Room is a delightful space with full AV facilities and a private bar available to hire for corporate events, business meetings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, you name it! Named after the industrial engineer and inventor of the modern steam engine, James Watt, who in 1802 hired a room within The Cross Keys pub for around 3 months from where he could spy on Matthew Murray and steal trade secrets by getting Murray's workers drunk! With original beams and exposed brickwork The James Watt Room provide a lovely welcoming space for those looking for a cosy venue in a traditional British pub. Car Park: Globe Road car park opposite (chargeable). Public Transport: Five minute walk from Leeds Train Station.
