Originally built as a country escape for the Vavasour family, Wood Hall Hotel & Spa remains a place where today’s pressures seem an age away. Ever since the house was completed in 1750, it has been a place of peace and relaxation. Even today, the house stands next door to a Carmelite monastery, home to a silent order of nuns. But Wood Hall is not simply about quiet contemplation. Set down a long private drive, Wood Hall is perched high on a hill among 100 acres, with fine views of the surrounding area. Offering 44 luxury bedrooms, a 2 Rosette restaurant and small health club and spa, Wood Hall is a place of gentle relaxation. Wood Hall is surrounded by 100 acres of woodland and is also able to host a huge variety of outdoor events such as motorised driving activities and clay pigeon shooting. The Italian Gardens are situated to the front right hand side of the hotel and are ideal for barbeques and cocktail receptions.

Our hotels are now open for overnight stays and indoor dining. Guests are required to wear a mouth and nose covering in all public spaces other than when dining at your table.
