Travelling to Leeds
Leeds is one of the most easily accessible cities and is ideally positioned in the centre of the UK with direct rail links from across the country. It’s just over two hours by train from London and three hours from Edinburgh. York is only 25 minutes away by train and Manchester less than an hour.
Arriving by Road
Our accessible position on the UK motorway network makes reaching Leeds by car or coach so simple.

Leeds is the busiest station in the north, and a major hub for national rail transport.
Arriving by Air
Landing at Leeds Bradford Airport leaves travellers with just an 8 mile journey to the city centre, accessible by the regular Flyer Bus, by taxi, or hire car. Within 30 minutes, you’ll be at your destination, ready to check in, drop your bags, and head out.

Leeds is the epicentre of the modern North, at the heart of an easily accessible network of road, rail and air transport. We’re at the crossroads of the M1 and the M62 motorways, connecting north, south, east and west.
We’re an easy train journey from the capitals of London and Edinburgh, with regular intercity connections to all corners of the country meeting at the busiest station in the north of England. Flights arrive at Leeds Bradford Airport from over 70 overseas destinations, with the international hubs of Dublin and Amsterdam Schiphol an hour away. Flying into Manchester Airport is just as easy, with swift train links taking you straight into the heart of the city of Leeds.
Navigating the city once you arrive
Leeds is one of the major cities in the UK and has the advantage of a compact and walkable city centre. Most of the main conference venues, hotels, cultural venues and shopping, bars and restaurants are within easy reach of each other, making free time outside of a conference or business event stress free.
Walking
Once you arrive into Leeds City Centre, whether it is into the train station or bus station then most of the city’s hotels and many of the conference venues are within a 15 minute walk.
Leeds is a compact city with many of the hotels and venues based in the city centre, which means you can easily walk from the hotel to the conference venue.

Public Transport
Leeds has a compact city centre, so it is easy to enjoy all the city has to offer on foot. Alternatively there is a Leeds CityBus for £1 which stops at various locations within the city.
There is a water taxi that will take you from Leeds Train Station’s South Entrance in Granary Wharf and drop you at the Royal Armouries in Leeds Dock and costs just £3 per trip.

Regular bus and train services run to venues and attractions outside the city centre. Day tickets are available from Leeds Bus Station or Leeds Train Station.
Taxis
There are many reliable taxi services in Leeds with a range of payment options from advance payment to cash and card payments.
There is a taxi rank outside Leeds train station and throughout the city centre. You can book a Leeds taxi in advance through Veezu
Uber operates in Leeds where taxis can be booked via the Uber app.
Car Parking and Disabled Parking
For stress-free travel into the centre of Leeds, catch one of our Park & Ride services. Elland Road and Temple Green services operate from Monday to Friday and Stourton from Monday to Saturday, with a journey time of just 10-15 minutes to the centre of Leeds.
