Conference and Academic Venues

As one of the UK’s leading conference destinations, Leeds has a fantastic range of excellent and inspiring conference venues which allows us to host conferences and events of all shapes and sizes.

One of the city’s flagship conference venues is the Royal Armouries and New Dock Hall. Located in a fabulous waterfront setting at Leeds Dock, the Royal Armouries offers the largest conference spaces in Leeds. Also near to the waterfront is Horizon Leeds, a leading-edge conference, learning and meeting space owned and run by NHS Employers, a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status.

The Queens hotel has an unrivalled location adjacent to Leeds train station in the heart of the city and is perfect if you’re looking to hold your conference under one roof.

On the academic front, The University of Leeds offers a comprehensive range of award-winning facilities that are adaptable to accommodate most conference programmes and budgets. One of the University’s central venues is Cloth Hall Court which offers dedicated conference and events space just moments from Leeds train station. Cloth Hall Court comprises boardrooms, classrooms, seminar and exhibition spaces all under one roof making it a great site for association conferences.

And for those organisers who need a slice of heritage and history look no further than one of the city’s most iconic buildings, Leeds Town Hall. If you’re looking for a venue that makes an impact then the historic Leeds Town Hall will create a lasting impression.

Leeds United’s Elland Road Stadium is one of the country’s leading conference and exhibition centres in the North offering a wide choice of flexible meeting rooms in a unique setting. And if you’re looking for a large-scale exhibition space the first direct bank arena has played host to large trade and consumer exhibitions, together with smaller specialist shows.

Residential Venues

Situated next door to Leeds train station, The Queens Hotel can host a full-scale conference or exhibition, dinners and receptions, with plenty of workshop and break-out spaces.

The newly-refurbished Met Hotel is just a short walk from the station – and The Queens! The Met is an ornate terracotta grade II listed building with lots of character and Victorian charm with a modern twist.

For those organisers who would like the option of brand hotels, there’s plenty to choose from, with all offering extensive conference facilities accommodating from 200-350 delegates. The Leeds Marriott has an on-site restaurant which can host drinks receptions too. Hilton Leeds City and DoubleTree by Hilton are both easily accessed from the South Exit of Leeds Train Station. The DoubleTree has a beautiful waterfront location situated between the Leeds Liverpool Canal and the River Aire.
