Aagrah’s 34th Annual Business Dinner 2016 – The Yorkshire Powerhouse is coming to the first direct arena.

It’s all happening in Yorkshire. The region is bursting with new developments and economic promise. It is the very success of Yorkshire that’s sets the theme for this years Aagrah 34th Annual Business Dinner. With a population of 5.3 million (ONS census 2011) Yorkshire is the largest county in the UK, spanning 2.9 million acres.
The glamorous black tie dinner will be held at the world class First Direct Arena, in Leeds on October 10th 2016.

The Aagrah Dinner is widely acknowledged as the platform to network, connect and engage. The huge success of last year’s dinner, attended by close to 800 business guests was covered by TV and press media. Every year the prestigious black tie dinner focuses on a current business topic to showcase the region and its success in a bid to encourage investment to fuel further growth and development, to be a major player on the world’s business stage.

The evening will combine five key Yorkshire hospitality Awards, great networking, speakers, a sumptuous 5 course banquet dinner and great entertainment. The event will be filmed and broadcast on a major Sky channel as a show.

Yorkshire’s economy mirrors its size and diversity: with finance, legal, manufacturing, medical, digital, retail, food, agriculture and nuclear all strong sectors contributing to a healthy economy. On top of this tourism in Yorkshire is worth over £7 billion which is more than the total tourism expenditure of many other countries such as Ireland or Denmark.

Yorkshire & Humber have the largest concentration of food and drink businesses in the UK, contributing £1.7 billion to the regional economy.

Beneficiary Charities

The Annual Dinner also supports charities that benefit the region. This year’s two beneficiary charities are Macmillan and Weston Park Cancer Charity, Sheffield.
