Success for Leeds following this year’s Conference & Hospitality Show Awards

ConferenceLeeds is celebrating a string of wins for the city, following this year’s Conference & Hospitality Show (CHS) Awards, which helped to demonstrate the strength in the city’s venues, and the stature of Leeds in relation to the UK’s larger cities when it comes to Conferencing and Hospitality. The event, which was held at the Principal Hotel in Manchester, gave Leeds the chance to showcase its impressive portfolio of venues across the city.

ConferenceLeeds shines a spotlight on the winners in the city:

Oulton Hall
Winner of best bedrooms, Oulton Hall’s newly refurbished bedrooms feature custom made beds and a host of complementary features. In a grand 18th century setting, this hotel is surrounded by a 27-hole golf course, features a state-of-the-art spa and well-equipped health club.

Well Met
Well Met, the conferencing team at Leeds Beckett University, walked away with the Best Academic Venue Category and were highly commended in both the Best Independent Venue and Best Onsite Audio-Visual categories.

Dine
Priding themselves as the leading events organisers in the North of England, Dine won the award for outside catering. Working with a host of suppliers from marquee hire to florists and specialising in corporate events, weddings and private party catering, Dine work hard to make each event a unique experience.

Horizon
Horizons award was for the best use of tech advancement and best on site audio. Having recently invested to adapt the conference centre layout and in innovative technologies, the new facilities are able to enhance delegate experiences and improve the offering within the conference and events sector.

Leeds’ conferencing venues have seen valuable investments, enhancing the city’s appeal as a business destination and, in further years to come, will expect to see this grow further. The awards won at this year’s Conference & Hospitality Show highlight Leeds as an innovative city that is constantly growing and developing to meet demands.
