Reason for Nomination: From early on in the pandemic the ‘lockdown team’ looked for new ways to show their support and appreciation to the NHS key workers in Leeds. The team coordinated with The Light to turn the hotel blue every Thursday and joined in the nation’s clap for carers.
The team at Radisson Blu delivered goodie bags containing hot chocolate and brownies to hospital workers, GP surgeries and schools and have supported Oakwood Lane Medical Centre with tea and coffee suppliers since their first Pfizer vaccine clinic.
The team has also rallied hotel workers in the city to volunteer at the vaccine clinics to show how much Leeds Hospitality supports its frontline workers.
